Gamescom is rapidly approaching, and Xbox has announced its plans for the upcoming show.
Taking place in Cologne, Germany, from August 20-24, team Xbox has big plans. Their show floor booth will have a theater experience for The Outer Worlds 2, will allow players to get some hands-on time with the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X, as well as several upcoming first-party titles such as Grounded 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, and story DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Gamescom is also where several Xbox first-party partners will unveil more information on their upcoming games. Most notably, Blizzard Entertainment is revealing the next chapter of World of Warcraft on August 19th during Opening Night Live, giving us the first look at the upcoming expansion, Midnight. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will also be featured during the Opening Night Live event.
That’s not all, though, as several third-party games will be playable at the Xbox booth, including the one you’ve been waiting for.
Yes, Silksong, which is still slated for a 2025 release, will be playable in Germany next month. It seems like the years of waiting are nearly over.
In all honesty, there’s a healthy and indeed impressive lineup of third-party titles available at the Xbox booth. It’ll be nice to see Super Meat Boy 3D in action, Final Fantasy VII and XVI are welcome additions to the Xbox library, and I can’t wait to see gameplay from Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

For those, like myself, who are missing out on attending Gamescom in person, in addition to Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live Stream, there will be several Xbox broadcasts highlighting games from the show floor on the official Xbox YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook channels. On Wednesday, August 20th, the ROG Xbox Ally handheld and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be the headliners. The following day, they’ll showcase footage from Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, and more.
