The August update will contain end-game updates such as new difficulties and weapon balance adjustments that were planned for September.
It would appear that Capcom is moving some lofty plans for Monster Hunter Wilds forward a month for the enjoyment of players. The group has announced that content that was scheduled for release in September 2025 will now be brought forward to an update coming in August 2025. With it, players will get new difficulties, fresh weapon balancing, and a host of other adjustments and fixes.
Capcom announced the details of its upcoming August patch with the content from September on the Monster Hunter social media channel. Some of the headline content making its way forward from the September update includes new end-game difficulties. If you’re looking for harder hunts, they’ll now be arriving in August as higher difficulty levels make their way to Monster Hunter Wilds.

In addition to the new difficulties, players can look forward to a few other features, including new rewards for quests that will feature talismans with randomized perks. Wide-spread weapon balancing will also be coming, and the range of improvements to weapon handling and balance has been expanded.
