Primal Planet is a delightfully unique blend of Metroidvania platforming, survival crafting, and pixel-art storytelling, developed solo by Seethingswarm. It places you in the stone-age boots of a cave dweller fighting to protect his family against dinosaurs—and something far more otherworldly.
In this part of the walkthrough, we are saved by the Shaman and we set up our new village.
Find Your Daughter
You are at the Shaman’s hut. To the right you can build your own hut if you have the resources. I didn’t. If you go to the right of this area you will be at Palmcrest Cove. If you go to the left of this area and exit you will be at Fernshade River. For now lets explore Fernstep Glade first. Climb up and get to the location with the herbivore dinosaurs. You pick a fruit here. This will be needed to hire the Shaman.
Go back down and hire the Shaman. Next craft a spear and then craft a torch. Head up to the left on the second level you will find the map chamber for Fernstep Glade.
I levelled up Diver and Chef, for 25 seconds of Oxygen and Chef to get more health for cooked meat at this time.

Pretty straightforward zone. On the top most level on the left is an altar where you need Blue herbs and purple leaves.
Secret Area 1
At the very top, on the left there is a secret area with a spirit tree.
The exit at the very top, to the right leads to Cavernshore Grove. If you check the world map, you can see the aliens have your daughter at the bottom right corner.
So let’s head there first. Exit through the right side into Palmcrest Grove.

After entering Palmcrest Grove, jump into the water and swim downwards (This is why I upgraded Oxygen duration earlier) and you will find a secret area.
Secret Area 2
Use the air bubbles to replenish your oxygen and swim to the right to come out the other side to find a Stargate (?). Currently, you do not have the resources necessary to run it.
Go back into the water – and head back to the starting area and move over ground to the right and up. At the top you will find the map chamber with the braziers separated by a waterfall.
For the left side go back to Fernstep Glade through the left exit. Use the torch there to light your spear. Come back to Palmcrest Cove and light the brazier.

As you can see it a predominantly water based map. Anyway, go up the area next to the map chamber by sticking a spear on the wall to make a platform and climb up.
If you keep climbing up and exit to the left you will find Cavernshore Grove. We aren’t going that way, climb back down and head to the right and you will run into some Pterodactyls. Take them out.
If you keep to the right you will come across a Spirit Tree. Activate it if you have the herbs.
You can jump off the cliff here into the water and then swim to Gloambreach. But I don’t think I am ready at this point to hit Gloambreach, as it is a high level area. So head back to the village at Fenstep Glade for now.
