During the July 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, we got to see a trailer going over the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake new scenarios and Princess Cannock heroine. There was also an additional batch of screenshots highlighting all of these extra gameplay elements being newly added to this rerelease.

A big change this time is that Princess of Cannock will be an ally in Dragon Quest II. The screenshots and trailer her as we approach her in the castle, as well as when she’s joined our party.
As for the new scenarios in both games in the remake, those involve additional side stories and different types of characters we might not have gotten to see as much in the past. One involved some fairies talking to the party about dwarves. Another involves a search for a faerie flute. A conversation with Lunagriff comes up too.

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 30, 2025.
