Back in January 2025, Taito announced a new Switch Groove Coaster game. While it didn’t show up during the Nintendo Direct, immediately after the company confirmed that Groove Coaster Future Performers is available on the console in every region. Prior to this reveal, we only knew it would debut on the system in Japan on July 31, 2025.
Groove Coaster Future Performers plays a lot like the previous Switch entryWai Wai Party. Your Navigator character travels along a line while imagery appears behind it, and as notes come up on it you press buttons in time with the music.
To help get an idea of what to expect, there are two trailers. First, here’s one just showing off the game’s opening movie:
We can see actual gameplay in the other trailer that debuted back in January 2025, which was when it was officially revealed. That also highlighted some of the Navigator characters.
