The Japanese Persona 3 Reload Switch 2 website is now live following the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, and the physical copy details and cover showed it is a game-key card title. The US site hasn’t updated yet.
All Switch 2 game-key card titles don’t have the full game on the cartridge, which means people who get a Persona 3 Reload physical copy will still need to download the title. It’s 25.4GB, before patches, for the base game. However, since it is tied to the cartridge, that must always be inserted in the system to play the JRPG on the system. When the physical release was mentioned in the Nintendo Direct, it didn’t mention it was only a game-key card.

We also learned Yakuza Kiwami 2 is headed to the Switch 2 in November 2025 during the presentation.
Since the eShop page for Persona 3 Reload, we know about the different versions available. The base game is $59.99. A Digital Deluxe Edition is $69.99, and it includes a digital art book and soundtrack. The Digital Premium Edition has the art book and soundtrack, and it includes seven cosmetic and BGM DLC packs based on Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal. There’s no mention of any release with the Aigis expansion.
The Persona 3 Reload remake will show up on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 23, 2025, and it is already on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
